Nature-inspired finishes

In 2017, nature-inspired finishes are front and center for bringing the beauty of nature, inside.  Evidence?  Well, this past December, the Pantone Institute announced its 2017 Color of the Year: Greenery.

“Greenery signifies beginnings: a fresh New Year; healthier food resolutions and growing vegetarian trends; grass and the outdoors during spring and summer,” according to Karen Hua, writer for Forbes.com.

We get it – soothing, natural colors and textures create a sense of balance and serenity in an otherwise chaotic world.  And who couldn’t use a little balance and serenity today?

“There’s a growing desire to reconnect with Nature and what is real and find ways to disconnect from technology. We need a break. We need to stop and breathe,” Laurie Pressman, the Pantone Color Institute’s vice president, told FORBES. “(Greenery) is about unity and community—connecting to oneself and others and a higher purpose, Nature.”
