SITELINE IS @ HOME IN DUNSTABLE-MA

Authorized designer, Denyne Sanville, of Denyne Designs, located in Dunstable, Massachusetts, shares a recent kitchen remodel.

“The home is a three-story Colonial set on several acres in a small suburb north of Boston,” Denyne says. “The price point and styles offered in Siteline fit the homeowners’ budget and the overall design direction for the new space.”

The homeowners wanted a more functional kitchen with a layout that could accommodate multiple cooks and entertaining friends and family.  Their existing kitchen was a small “U” shaped space with limited storage, minimal counter space and had a small island which created an awkward traffic flow. The attached three season porch was rarely used, and was a perfect candidate to be commandeered for the new kitchen. Denyne notes, “The kids were also getting older and it was finally time to renovate!”

“This spacious transitional kitchen mixes wood and painted finishes with natural elements to create a remarkable cooking and entertaining space. Deep alder island cabinetry contrasts with the soft white perimeter cabinetry to create an interesting visual mix in the kitchen,” Denyne comments. This kitchen features the Christie door style in painted Arctic (white), with a soft Grey Glaze (perimeter) and Alder stained in Penny (island).

“The homeowners love the spaciousness of the kitchen and the oversized island for dining and entertaining,” Denyne comments.  She adds, “A separate beverage center and dinette seating area add convenience and a cozy feel to the large space. Another favorite is the expansive preparation and cooking area as well as walk-in pantry tucked behind French doors.”

Denyne notes “The soapstone countertops and volcano gray natural stone backsplash contrasts strikingly with the wide plank knotty pine flooring. A professional grade stainless steel hood and range are a focal point set against the vaulted fir-wood ceiling, which draws the eye upwards and adds a homey look and feel.”

She adds, “The oversized island has a hammered Copper sink with blown-glass pendants. Finally, Oil-Rubbed Bronze hardware and overhead cable lighting add the finishes touches to this amazing space.” These kinds of details tie all elements of a kitchen together for one cohesive look. With proper space planning and addressing shortcomings from the previous kitchen design, the homeowners are surely to enjoy this kitchen for years to come!
