THREE CHEERS FOR OUR VENEERS
Veneer choices are expressive, distinctive and refined. Are they in your future?
According to Freshhome.com, the use of slab, wood veneer cabinet doors is a trend that adds warmth and depth to a modern kitchen. Certainly there are numerous reasons for this growing popularity. One may suspect this is propelled by the growing trend towards natural products and bringing nature back into the home. Veneer slabs showcase wood grains beautifully; the grain patterns seem to tell a tale from the tree it originated, so of course nature lovers would enjoy this aesthetic.
The writer notes, however, buyers must beware of the ranging qualities of slab veneer cabinets. It is best to find a highly-skilled, reputable dealer. Of course, our authorized Siteline Cabinetry dealers are not only highly-skilled at designing a slab door style in veneer, but they have access to an amazing selection of both domestic and reconstituted veneer choices for their clients. Check these out!
What’s a reconstituted veneer, you ask?
Reconstituted veneers are a high quality, re-engineered wood product. Reconstituted veneers are made from environmentally responsible forests in Africa + Poplar from Italy. The veneers are sliced, dyed, glued, stacked and pressed into large rectangular blocks which are sliced at precise angles to produce leafs in the desired grain patterns. The veneer leafs are then laminated to the core material (medium density fiberboard) to create stable, beautiful doors and drawer fronts.
